Malicious indians (Insight about my Tamil Society – Part 2)

Posted by rajaganapathy on May 20, 2008

I’m here to make you realize what we are, and its the responsiblity of every one of us to sow the seeds of well manners and make our next generation open minded.

I was hit by this thought 4 years back, when one of my friend told me , I have to bring my wife for a cruise trip. I said nice idea for a honey moon. He replied me No man, she wants to swim. Hah, I wondered and asked him why you want to take her for a cruise trip even for a swim? so much of money, hah. He replied me , Do you think she can swim freeely at any place in India , Indians cant bear even the bare legs. I was thinking myself, even i’m like that, superb malicious.

Felt so shy and gave a thought why I’m like this , seeing girls only in that attitude, regardless of age, profession etc , etc. What made me not see girls as my fellow human , why i’m not respecting them, why we badmouth girls even if she wears dress which may be comfortable for her. Questions , questions …questions.

and why we all are suddenly perfect when we found our girl , wife or someone whom we are sharing everything. Is it like , we are getting to knew how good girls are , how loving they are , how caring they are , how smart they are , how kind they are only after meeting OUR girl and respect them for what they are.   (Some of my chinese , filipino, german, australian , american collegues disagree me , saying you people wont change till your dooms day)

I really gave a serious thought what should i have done when i’m a student, when i’m a single. Is there any part to be played by our society ? Of course YES , We are feeling proud just being a MALE . so stupid , is it not ? Where I got this stupid pride ? from whom ? Oh , its my Father , my uncle , my neighbour , my cousin, my friend and everyone one who never respects any females other than their family members. How come this is possible in a country where most of our Gods are Female ?

Girls are no less than guys in this century , Lets learn to respect girls for what they are , lets teach our kids, neighbours , children of our country to respect everyone for what they are.

Guys i’m not against our culture, its just we need to intitate adopting good things by spreading the message atleast within our friends group. Lets stop only talking , talking …Lets make everyone try to Execute. As i beleive we make a difference for good.

My effort to reveal the holes and the changes we need to adopt to make our society better for everyone will continue in next part too ……………………………………….

AFTER ALL IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW ONE WANNA SEE THINGS!!!

‘Double standard’ is so outdated. Well-educated people will agree on this insight. Exposure to new &/or different environment helps one to discover himself and helps him to learn the things he needs to improve &/or change in himself. One will develop insights and realized what are the things he needs to do, to cope up with the changes in his environment. Unless he wants to be stuck to his so-called “rich-cultured environment”, he will remain closed-minded and wont accept facts & reality. Incurable stupidity drives people to discriminate others (whether racial, social, &/or sexual discrimation). Hope this will help people to realize where do they stand now.

As said its all about perception, even in advanced western countries men do
comment about other women. Men get excited on seeing certain things (?) and
the level changes from person to person. So I would say the basic things
all religions speak about is to be modest, male or female.
